The City of Casey is thrilled to congratulate Villawood Properties on being recognised by the Urban Development Institute of Australia (UDIA) as the best in the state, for their development of the Marriott Waters community in Lyndhurst.
Villawood Properties was announced as winner of the 2013 Award for Excellence Masterplanned Development and the Melbourne Water Recognition Award at the UDIA Victorian Awards, held on Friday 6 December.
City of Casey Mayor Cr Geoff Ablett said ‘the successful delivery of the development was made possible through close collaboration between Villawood Properties and Council over a number of years.
‘Strategic planning for the Lyndhurst/Lynbrook community has been in progress since the 90s; so it’s great to see the estate being showcased after so many years of hard work.’
The Marriott Waters Estate comprises of 1,000 residential lots, three major wetlands, two sporting ovals, a children’s and family services centre, primary school, neighbourhood shopping precinct and a resident’s club.
‘With over 120 people moving into Casey every week, Council is committed to developing quality communities which residents can be proud to call home.
‘Council is working to create a quality lifestyle for residents and is advocating for services and infrastructure to be available for residents when they move in to new estates’.
